1Who we are

Tell Nova is a voice-first reminder app published by Primonix Systems, based in Australia ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the Tell Nova mobile application ("Tell Nova", "the app") handles your information. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

2Your data stays on your phone

The core idea behind Tell Nova is simple: your reminders belong to you, and they live on your device. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not maintain a server-side copy of your reminders. We cannot read your reminders, because they never reach us.

3Information Tell Nova handles

Reminders you create

The reminders you create — including their text, dates, times, and repeat settings — are stored locally in a database on your device. This information is not transmitted off your device by the app and is not sent to us or to any third party.

Voice input

When you use the hold-to-record feature, your spoken words are converted into text using your phone's built-in speech recognition. The audio is used only momentarily to produce that text; Tell Nova does not store your voice recordings and does not send them to our servers. Speech recognition is a system feature of your device — depending on your phone, it may process audio directly on the device or through your device maker's speech service under that provider's own privacy policy.

Phone calendar (optional)

If you choose to turn on calendar sync, Tell Nova writes your reminders to the calendar already on your device, using the standard Android calendar system, so they appear alongside your other events. This happens entirely on your device. We do not receive, read, or store your calendar. You can turn calendar sync off at any time in Settings.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how Tell Nova is used and to keep improving it, the app uses Google Firebase Analytics. This collects anonymous, aggregated information that is not linked to your name or any account — because Tell Nova has no accounts. It includes:

• In-app actions — for example, that a reminder or alarm was created (including its repeat type, such as "daily" or "weekly"), that a paywall was shown, or that a subscription started. We record only that these actions happened — never the content, text, or names of your reminders.
• Basic technical details — such as your device model, app version, operating-system version, and a country derived from your IP address (not your precise location).
• An anonymous identifier — such as your device's resettable advertising ID and a Firebase installation ID — used only to keep these analytics accurate, never to target ads at you.

This information is processed by Google as part of the Firebase service and is automatically deleted within 90 days. It is never used to identify you, and we do not sell it.

In addition, when the app is first installed, and if you start a subscription, Tell Nova sends us a single one-time notification containing only your device model and country, so we can see how the app is growing. These notifications carry no personal information and are not linked to your reminders.

4What we do not collect

Tell Nova does not collect any of the following:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any account information
• The content, text, or names of your reminders, your voice recordings, or your calendar
• Your precise location
• Your contacts

We do not run ads in the app, and we do not use your advertising ID to target ads at you or to build an advertising profile about you. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5Permissions the app uses

Tell Nova requests only the permissions it needs to work, and uses them only for the purpose described:

• Microphone — so you can speak your reminders. Audio is used only to create text, as described above.
• Calendar — only if you turn on calendar sync, to add reminders to your device's calendar.
• Notifications and alarms — to show and sound your reminders at the right time, including on the lock screen.
• Exact alarm scheduling — so reminders fire reliably at the exact time you set, even when your phone is idle.

6Subscriptions and payments

Tell Nova offers an optional paid subscription. All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not see, collect, or store your payment details — your billing information is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. We only receive confirmation from Google about whether a subscription is active.

7How your information is protected

Because your reminders and personal information remain on your device, they are protected by your device's own security, such as your screen lock and the operating system's app protections. Where the app does communicate with a service (for example, speech recognition or anonymous analytics), that communication uses standard secure connections.

8Deleting your information

You are always in control of your information:

• Delete individual reminders within the app at any time.
• Uninstalling Tell Nova removes the app's data from your device.
• If you enabled calendar sync, you can remove synced events from your device's calendar app.

Because we do not hold your personal data on our servers, there is no separate account for us to delete. The anonymous analytics described above are not tied to you and are automatically deleted by Google within 90 days.

9Third-party services

Tell Nova relies on a small number of services provided by your device or by Google:

• Your device's speech recognition — to convert your speech to text.
• Google Play Billing — to process optional subscriptions.
• Google Firebase Analytics — to collect anonymous usage statistics, as described in Section 3.

These services are governed by their own privacy policies, including Google's Privacy Policy.

10Children's privacy

Tell Nova is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not collect personal data that identifies any user, regardless of age.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
